LITTLE PRESIDIANS RELISH THE ‘TASTES OF INDIA’ IN A POTLUCK PARTY

Presidium, Dwarka 16B aims at instilling these values amongst its children and thus leading them to the path of eternal happiness. Considering that bonding over shared meals makes way for better child development and stronger ties, a Potluck Party under the theme ‘sharing is caring’ was recently organized for children of grades nursery and prep. The classroom evolved into a mini dining hall with the sweet aroma of mother’s love. Little Presidians relished delectable food along with learning new vocabulary and table etiquettes. The activity also crossed the cultural boundaries as children devoured over the ‘tastes of India’. Finally they developed the feeling of gratitude towards their parents as they understood that 'happiness is homemade’!
PRESIDIANS SPREAD AWARENESS ON THE OCCASION OF ‘NO TOBACCO DAY’
Don’t let tobacco destroy you, start from destroying tobacco!
To spread awareness on the occasion of No Tobacco Day, our thoughtful students of grade 5 recently presented a special assembly at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The students brilliantly explained the ill effects of tobacco on health through an impactful speech. Further, an insightful poem was recited by a student, after which, the students marched with placards displaying anti–tobacco slogans like ‘smoking leaves an unseen scar, it fills your insides with toxins and tar’. Pledging to do their bit in spreading awareness about the hazards of tobacco, Presidians beautifully endorsed a healthy, tobacco-free lifestyle.
PRESIDIANS DISCOVER A FUN WAY TO STAY FIT AT ZUMBA DANCE SESSION
Dance is not just an art of expression but is also a great workout regime!
Considering that fitness is an essential part of children’s health, a Zumba dance session was recently for grade 5 and 6 students at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. It was the perfect way to incorporate exercise into the students' lives in a fun and easy way with multiple personal and social benefits. The session proved to be a stress-buster for the young Presidians and actually helped them to concentrate in their studies and daily chores. They all jumped, danced, shook, and swung their bodies to the music. The assembly carried the message that being active and healthy is a good thing!
PRESIDIANS DISCOVER RHYTHM OF THE SOUL AT A FUN MUSIC SESSION

Considering this thought, a Music Session was recently conducted for grade 3 and 4 students at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. Breaking the monotony of the regular events, the assembly focussed on uprising the students about the importance of rhythm. They got an opportunity to learn about a few 'tabla taals’ and experience different emotions that were showcased through music. The duet between tabla and bol by students met with enthusiastic applause and praise. The entire audience including the teachers thoroughly enjoyed and participated whole heartedly in it. All in all, the merriment of the celebration lifted the students’ spirits with immense joy and their exhilaration was commendable.
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE DAY OF WORSHIP & FAITH ON MAHASHIVRATRI

To venerate Lord Shiva and his holy union with Goddess Parvati, a special assembly was recently organized by the students of grade 2 on Mahashivratri at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The assembly began with the highlights of the importance of the festival, after which, the students put forth a wonderful skit showing the auspicious marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The audience was further mesmerized by the Tandav performance. The assembly ended with the chanting of panchakshri mantra and a wish to destroy the evil with the goodness.
KRISHA GULATI MAKES IT TO THE SGFI NATIONAL SKATING COMPETITION
We heartily congratulate Krisha Gulati, a grade 3 student of Presidium Dwarka 16B, who bagged the prestigious 2nd position in the Inter-Zonal Skating Meet 2017-18. She also made it to the SGFI National Skating Competition, organised by Directorate of Education at Rajeev Gandhi Stadium, Bawana.

FUN-FILLED PICNIC TO ADVENTURE ISLAND REVIVES YOUNG PRESIDIANS
A refreshing outing gives us a breath of fresh air, that we require to break the monotony of our everyday lives!
To give our dear students of grades 9 and 10 this much-needed break, Presidium Dwarka 16B recently took them to a mesmerizing trip to Adventure Island for the annual school picnic. The students were very excited for the picnic and enjoyed the bus journey while singing songs and cracking jokes. They were welcomed at the venue with a scintillating dance performance, magic show and chair balance act, which rendered them speechless. The students had exhilarated experience on various amusing rides like Splash Down, Z Force, Side Winder, Cyclone, Bumper Car and Space Jump. After relishing the delicious lunch at Adventure Island, the young Presidians danced tirelessly on the dance floor. Everyone came back with a bag full of the fun-filled moments in their cameras and hearts!
INTER-CLASS DANCE CONTEST ENHANCES DANCING SKILLS OF PRESIDIANS

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an inter-class fusion dance competition was organised by Presidium, Dwarka 16B for students of grades 1 to 3. The vivacious dancers set the stage on fire with their energetic performances. The fun-filled extravaganza offered fusion of different western and classical forms. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young Presidians as they enthralled everyone with their performances. The area echoed with the claps of the audience for the winners who gave the best performances.
HEALTHY & JUNK FOOD ASSEMBLY LIFTS AWARENESS IN LITTLE PRESIDIANS

Good health is an important aspect of life! Considering that learning healthy eating habits at a young age can reap benefits for a lifetime, Presidium Dwarka 16B recently promoted regular intake of fresh food throughout the day with a special assembly on 'Healthy and Junk Food'. Encouraging the grade nursery children to imbibe healthy eating habits because of its numerous benefits, the assembly also brought the problems caused by consuming junk food, in limelight. A mesmerizing dance on ‘healthy food will make you smile' and an eye catching role play showing the tug of war between healthy and junk food, glued the audience. It was truly a fun learning experience for all!
IT'S COLD & COZY AT WINTER DRESS PARADE IN PRESIDIUM!
Learning by doing is the best way to learn and students love it because they feel really involved. With this insight, a ‘Winter Dress Parade’ activity was recently organized for grade nursery to recapitulate the theme ‘It’s cold’. Students came dressed up in their casual winter wear and the variety was delightful. They walked on the stage showcasing the dresses and accessories that are their signatures during the winter season. Followed by the stage show, students had an ‘cloth sorting’ activity to strengthen their concept further. It was indeed a moment of joy to see how enthusiastic and engrossed our students were throughout the day.
