KRISHA GULATI MAKES IT TO THE SGFI NATIONAL SKATING COMPETITION
We heartily congratulate Krisha Gulati, a grade 3 student of Presidium Dwarka 16B, who bagged the prestigious 2nd position in the Inter-Zonal Skating Meet 2017-18. She also made it to the SGFI National Skating Competition, organised by Directorate of Education at Rajeev Gandhi Stadium, Bawana.

FUN-FILLED PICNIC TO ADVENTURE ISLAND REVIVES YOUNG PRESIDIANS
A refreshing outing gives us a breath of fresh air, that we require to break the monotony of our everyday lives!
To give our dear students of grades 9 and 10 this much-needed break, Presidium Dwarka 16B recently took them to a mesmerizing trip to Adventure Island for the annual school picnic. The students were very excited for the picnic and enjoyed the bus journey while singing songs and cracking jokes. They were welcomed at the venue with a scintillating dance performance, magic show and chair balance act, which rendered them speechless. The students had exhilarated experience on various amusing rides like Splash Down, Z Force, Side Winder, Cyclone, Bumper Car and Space Jump. After relishing the delicious lunch at Adventure Island, the young Presidians danced tirelessly on the dance floor. Everyone came back with a bag full of the fun-filled moments in their cameras and hearts!
INTER-CLASS DANCE CONTEST ENHANCES DANCING SKILLS OF PRESIDIANS
Dance is the language that body speaks!
With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an inter-class fusion dance competition was organised by Presidium, Dwarka 16B for students of grades 1 to 3. The vivacious dancers set the stage on fire with their energetic performances. The fun-filled extravaganza offered fusion of different western and classical forms. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young Presidians as they enthralled everyone with their performances. The area echoed with the claps of the audience for the winners who gave the best performances.
HEALTHY & JUNK FOOD ASSEMBLY LIFTS AWARENESS IN LITTLE PRESIDIANS

Good health is an important aspect of life! Considering that learning healthy eating habits at a young age can reap benefits for a lifetime, Presidium Dwarka 16B recently promoted regular intake of fresh food throughout the day with a special assembly on 'Healthy and Junk Food'. Encouraging the grade nursery children to imbibe healthy eating habits because of its numerous benefits, the assembly also brought the problems caused by consuming junk food, in limelight. A mesmerizing dance on ‘healthy food will make you smile' and an eye catching role play showing the tug of war between healthy and junk food, glued the audience. It was truly a fun learning experience for all!
IT'S COLD & COZY AT WINTER DRESS PARADE IN PRESIDIUM!
Learning by doing is the best way to learn and students love it because they feel really involved. With this insight, a ‘Winter Dress Parade’ activity was recently organized for grade nursery to recapitulate the theme ‘It’s cold’. Students came dressed up in their casual winter wear and the variety was delightful. They walked on the stage showcasing the dresses and accessories that are their signatures during the winter season. Followed by the stage show, students had an ‘cloth sorting’ activity to strengthen their concept further. It was indeed a moment of joy to see how enthusiastic and engrossed our students were throughout the day.

Life skills have been defined as 'the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life'. In order to help the students to adapt and adjust well with the changing demands of society, a special assembly on ‘life skills’ was recently conducted by grade 4 students at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The assembly focussed on making the students aware about thoughtful topics including respect elders, honesty is the best policy, not to litter and good touch & bad touch. This theme was executed in the form of an act, wherein each sub–topic had one scene. At the end, all the students took the oath of imbibing good values in their life!
BIDDING ADIEU TO OUR LUSTROUS STARS OF GRADE X(2017-18 BATCH)

Students of grade IX recently bid farewell to the outgoing grade X. The day was a fiesta that intended to take the students down the memory lane so that they recall every minute they spent at the school with their buddies. The dazzling lights and the beautiful decoration brought them in awe of the day, while the special performances and the title distribution was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Many tricky and interesting games were also played to pep up the environment. Overall, the day was filled with nostalgia, fun and excitement!
TRIP TO FUN N FOOD FILLS PRESIDIANS' HEARTS WITH LASTING MEMORIES

We all look forward to picnics, whatever our age may be. The dawn of 20th January, 2018 brought a glint in the eyes and a sunny smile on the lovely faces of our little ones of grades nursery and prep, as it was a special day for them, the day they were anxiously awaiting for, their annual picnic. With excitement brimming in their hearts, the Presidians of Dwarka 16B reached Fun N Food Village and enjoyed a variety of rides with their teachers. This was followed by a hot delectable meal. The students had a blast when they gyrated on the stage and showcased their dancing talent and a few of them bagged prizes also. For our little Presidians, it was a day filled with fun and frolic!
YOUNG PRESIDIANS PRESENT AN INFORMATIVE ASSEMBLY ON OUR HISTORY

Considering this thought in mind, we at Presidium Dwarka 16B, focus on the importance of history at our school. Recently, our grade 7 Presidians organised a rousing morning assembly on Itihaas, which began with an enlightening speech on Itihaas. It was followed by an informative audio visual presentation related to history, wherein alluring images of Itihaas walk were shown. It was followed by a melodious song by the students covering the history of great Indian rulers and important historical events. Few students shared their enriching experience about Itihaas walk. It was a deeply informative assembly, applauded by all!
CHAMPS GET THE BALL ROLLING AT INTER-PRESIDIUM BASKETBALL MATCH
Sports holds as much importance for us as academics and our students consider it as their top priority to remain fit and active. An Inter-Presidium Basketball Championship recently took place at Gurgaon 57 wherein our Presidians demonstrated such a powerful and athletic performance. The ‘never say die’ attitude in them oozed out with every layup shot they’d make. The enticing competition gave rise to upcoming challengers and champions of tomorrow!
