PRESIDIANS SHOWCASE BEAUTY OF DANCE FORMS ON WORLD DANCE DAY
Dancing …is like dreaming with your feet!
To acquaint Presidians with the importance and different forms of dance, our bubbly angels of Prep-C, presented a special assembly to celebrate World Dance Day. This day holds a lot of significance as it grabs the attention of the wider audience towards the art of dance. On the special assembly, some amazing and unknown facts about different dances were shared by the students. They also performed stunningly on diverse dance styles like Bhangra, Salsa, Classical and Hip-hop. The assembly was an entertaining and learning experience for the students. It was indeed a splendid show by the supremely talented children.
PRESIDIANS BRIGHTEN HOPE FOR A GREENER TOMORROW ON EARTH DAY

To brighten hope for a green tomorrow, young students of grades nursery and prep recently celebrated Earth Day at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. An assortment of activities like nature walk, preparation of beautiful craft to save water & electricity, and collecting twigs, pebbles & dry leaves, was taken up wholeheartedly by the leaders of tomorrow. They also had a fruitful interaction with community helpers to enhance their understanding about caring for nature. Developing a sense of ownership towards plants in their little hearts, the assembly witnessed rousing performances including speeches, poems and dance act on the song ‘earth was in it together’. Pledging for a greener environment and a better tomorrow, the Presidians were duly applauded for their truly magnificent initiative!
OUR BUDDING ARTISTS UNRAVEL THE ENRAPTURING WORLD OF THEATRE

With the aim of increasing our students' imagination and concentration level, their control over the body and to enable them to eliminate shyness and inhibitions, an enthralling 'theatre session' was recently organised at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The warm-up included some fascinating and invigorating exercises, which further enhanced the children’s fun quotient. Students of grades 7 to 10 proactively participated in this fun-filled role play exercise, wherein, the budding artists beautifully portrayed every act and character through expression and movements. Every student enjoyed the session thoroughly and summed up a day full of learning!
PRESIDIANS PAY A KIND TRIBUTE TO DR. BR AMBEDKAR ON HIS JAYANTI

A renowned Indian jurist, political leader, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, economist, teacher, editor, prolific writer, revolutionary and a revivalist for Buddhism in India, Ambedkar became the 1st Law Minister and the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee of India. To pay a thoughtful tribute to the remarkable Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his Jayanti, the grade 4 students of Presidium Dwarka 16B recently conducted a special assembly. Students delivered an informative speech on the life history of Dr. Ambedkar, showing his major achievements and contributions in uplifting the destitute. Encouraging the Presidians to follow Dr. Ambedkar’s footsteps and imbibe his values, the assembly was a small step in the progress towards a glorious future.
PRESIDIANS JOYFULLY CELEBRATE THE HARVEST FESTIVAL OF BAISAKHI
In keeping with our tradition of celebrating all festivals with fervour and gaiety, the students of grades prep and 3 recently presented a special assembly on Baisakhi, the popular joyous 'harvest festival'. The assembly commenced with a plethora of events like Punjabi folk dance performance and a thoughtful speech on the festival. Dressed in colourful ethnic costumes, the Presidians commenced a celebration of Punjabi culture and tradition. The beats of Punjabi folk songs made everyone present sway to its melody. The students brought alive the vibrancy and performed the energetic Bhangra and Gidda dance to welcome the festival in school.
EXTENDING A SINCERE TRIBUTE TO JALLIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE MARTYRS
To reminisce the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which took place on 13th April 1919, our grade 10 students recently presented a rousing morning assembly. The assembly showcased the fact that the troops of British Indian Army, under the command of Brigadier General Reginald Dyer, fired rifles into a crowd of Baisakhi pilgrims, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Punjab. Extending a heartfelt tribute to the departed souls, the assembly touched the core of everyone’s heart.
PRESIDIUM WELCOMES ITS NEWEST MEMBERS FOR A NEW & LIVELY SESSION

Presidium Dwarka 16B recently gave our newest members of grades nursery and preparatory an exquisite 'red carpet welcome' for the session 2018-2019. The students were ushered in with the love and warmth and were greeted ardently at the entrance by the teachers and their beloved Mickey Mouse mascot. Thrilled at the sight of their favourite cartoon character, the children wove precious memories by getting pictures clicked with him. It was an apt beginning to a plethora of surprises which awaited our lovely children.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS EXTEND THOUGHTFUL AWARENESS ON WORLD HEALTH DAY
A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body!
To disseminate the idea that the only foundation of success in life is good health, the students of grades 3 and 7 presented a special assembly on World Health Day at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. With the aim to draw people's attention towards important health issues facing the world every year, the assembly featured an informative discussion and a spectacular skit, enlightening everyone about who is a healthy person. Then, the young Presidians presented some health tips for the audience and also, a fun-filled presentation of a tug of war between healthy family and junk food family. Reinforcing the importance of healthy eating habits and food safety, the students depicted the lifestyles of a child, female and male in the present scenario through an enactment portraying its impact on their health. It was followed by an energetic jingle presentation encouraging the students to ‘go healthy'!
OUR ADVENTUROUS PRESIDIANS RELISH A RENDEZVOUS WITH AMRITSAR
At Presidium, we work incessantly towards motivating our students and engaging them in active learning experiences. In continuation of this initiative, a fun trip to Amritsar for one night and two days was recently organized for the Presidians of Dwarka 16B. The trip aimed at inspiring the young learners with the rich Indian culture and heritage and develop qualities like self-confidence, responsibility, punctuality, self-reliance, tolerance and leadership. The students excitedly visited the attractions of the city, namely the magnificent Golden Temple, the Jallianwala Bagh, the Wagah Border and the local markets. Relishing sublime peacefulness, the leaders of tomorrow were fully deluged in the divine nectar of Amritsar, which means the ‘pool of ambrosial nectar’.
APPRECIATION DAY MOTIVATES PRESIDIANS TO DO THEIR BEST IN FUTURE
Appreciation is a wonderful thing, it makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well!
Appreciation is the best way to keep the efforts alive and encourage and empower the students. Presidium believes that each child has extraordinary qualities, which we should nurture. In an attempt to recognise our students for their unique positive behaviours, an Appreciation Day ceremony was organised at Presidium, Dwarka 16 B. All the students of grades nursery to 3 were appreciated with certificates for their positives such as creativity, curiosity, oration, imitative and many more. Receiving kind words of appreciation from their loving teachers enforced a wonderful strength in our Presidians and also motivated them to perform best in their future endeavours!
