It is strong determination that made our Presidians walk on their chosen path of learning and gain holistic education. The result of which can be seen through their academic excellence in the grade 10 board examinations in session 2017-18. Our heartiest congratulations to Sanskar Singh who scored a total of 89.2% and all our subject toppers who have cleared the 90% bar with flying colours. Their performance in this session have assured us about the great heights to which the Presidium flag will be furled in future.
SUNPREET WINS THE TIMES NIE STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD 2017-18
We are proud to share that our gifted student Sunpreet Kaur of grade 10, has been bestowed with the prestigious ‘Times NIE Student of the year’ award for the session 2017-18. The criteria for selection included academic performance, extra-curricular activities and written test marks. Sunpreet proved herself to be the best in all three domains to secure her place on top. Kudos to our budding champion!
PRESIDIANS EXHIBIT AWESOME PUBLIC SPEAKING SKILLS AT DECLAMATION
To provide the young yearners with a platform to exhibit their public speaking skills and freely express their emotions, an inter class Declamation competition was held recently. The students from grade 8 enthusiastically participated and expressed their views on various stimulating topics. The learners prepared for the competition under the guidance of their respective teachers. The contestants from all the sections were well versed, well prepared and exceeded everyone’s expectation.
EMPOWERING TEACHERS OF PRESIDIUM WITH ENRICHING WORKSHOPS
Good teachers know how to bring out the best in their students and themselves as well. Teachers at Presidium constantly try to enhance and update themselves to make teaching more effective and reach out to every child in the class. Aiming for the same, a series of thought provoking, invigorating and refreshing activities were organised for the teachers throughout the month of May, such as ‘Student Dealing and Case Study’, ‘Theatre in Education and Soul Cleansing through Music’, ‘Team Building’, ‘Meditation and Stress Management’ and ‘Body Language’. The teachers felt tremendously enriched after the workshops and updated their teaching methods as per the learnings.
THOUGHTFUL PRESIDIANS SPREAD AWARENESS ON WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY
World hypertension day is celebrated annually since 2005 to disseminate the message of maintenance of normal blood pressure among common people. The theme for the year 2018 is ‘Know your blood pressure’. A special assembly on World Hypertension Day was recently conducted by students of grade 9. Students staged a rousing skit to create awareness among public about the blood pressure, high blood pressure, to motivate the people for the regular check-up of their health. It aimed to encourage young people towards maintaining a healthy living through healthy eating and regular physical exercise.
ZONAL CULTURAL CONTESTS: PRESIDIANS TASTE SWEET NECTAR OF VICTORY
A dream enlivened; Presidians bedazzle the world!
Presidians of Dwarka 16B have tasted the sweet nectar of victory in many zonal competitions, which encouraged them to prove their caliber yet again at the Zonal Cultural Competitions 2017-18. Their insatiable appetite for winning kept them at the top of their game, like never before, and they achieved worthy positions at the Zonals.
Our glorious toppers won the prestigious:
1st Position in Hindi Poetry Recitation, Hindi Declamatio, English Debate, Solo Classical Dance and One Act Play
2nd Position in Slogan Writing, Hindi Extempore, Folk Dance - Boys, Folk Song - Boys and Solo Instrumental Music
3rd Position in English Debate, Hindi Debate, Folk Song - Girls, Patriotic Song, Mono Acting and Orchestra
4th Position in English Poem Recitation, Collage Making and Patriotic Song

AYUSH WINS A TABLET FOR ACING THE BYJU'S NATIONAL APTITUDE TEST
We are elated to congratulate Ayush Jain, a grade 9 student of Presidium Dwarka 16B, for his brilliant performance in his age category in the National Aptitude Test, organized in collaboration with the famous BYJU'S Learning Application. The organization also awarded the young genius with a Tablet. Highly valued and cherished by all schools and students nationally, this test has been conducted at Presidium for more than 4 years in a row.

FOOD FIESTA OFFERS GASTRONOMIC DELIGHTS AT PRESIDIUM DWARKA 16B
The preparation of good food is merely another expression of art, one of the joys of civilized living!
At Presidium Dwarka 16B, we aim at nurturing the students into individuals with a cosmopolitan outlook, so that they can value the cultural amalgamation that India boasts of. Considering that food is the finest way to understand the culture of any nation or state, a food fiesta was recently conducted by our Environmental Studies (EVS) department for grade 3 students. Young Presidians presented various national and international cuisines like Punjabi, Assamese, Italian, Rajasthani, Bengali, Kashmiri, Continental and Chinese, at different food stalls with love and zeal. To add more colour to the event, the students came dressed in traditional wear of the state cuisine they were representing. Strengthening the Presidians' understanding of the theme ‘food’, this event also provided them a sneak peek into the rich Indian culture.
ELOCUTION COMPETITION: OUR YOUNG ORATORS DAZZLE ON THE STAGE
Elocution is an art, which can be mastered through repeated observation, hearing and practice!
Considering the importance of being vocally eloquent and to develop the communication skills of our students of grades 4 and 5, an Elocution Competition on the theme 'mother' was recently organized at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The students were very expressive and delivered speeches with great confidence. Thoroughly impressing the audience with their diction, gestures and content, the young orators beautifully expressed their love and admiration for their mothers. It was a day full of learning and love!
LITTLE PRESIDIANS EXCITEDLY PERFORM IN RHYME RECITATION CONTENT
Rhymes not only develop speaking skills of children, but also help in expressing their feelings through facial expressions and gestures. They also play an important role in student’s language and its development.
To provide a great platform to all the grade prep students, an Intra-Class Rhyme Recitation Competition was recently organized at Dwarka 16B. The children joyously expressed themselves through words and their self-introduction, content, confidence, voice modulation, expressions, clarity of speech, costumes, props, and overall presentation was excellent. All the students performed with great energy and enjoyed being dressed up beautifully according to different themes. It was indeed a great show put up by the little Presidians!
