DELIGHTFUL LOHRI CELEBRATIONS ENLIVEN THE PREMISES OF PRESIDIUM
Lohri is a time to sit together huddled around a cosy bonfire, shell peanuts, indulge in seasons comfort food, have delightful conversations, and offer prayers to thank God for the crops before harvesting them. This beautiful festival of peace and happiness also marks the end of the winter season and is a traditional welcome of longer days. It was recently celebrated with great enthusiasm at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. Adorably dressed in vibrant Punjabi attires to add to the festivity, the little Presidians tapped their feet on the traditional dhol music and enjoyed the bonfire along with sweet jaggery and popcorn.
To showcase the true essence and colours of the festival and to give a glimpse of the culture of Punjab, a special assembly was also organized by our young students. The assembly began by highlighting the importance of the festival through a small skit and traditional Lohri song ‘sundar - mundariye’. Immersing everyone in the rich cultural folklore of Punjab, the day ended with the wish that may Lohri fire bring joy, happiness and love for everyone.
AD MAD CONTEST BRINGS PRESIDIANS' BLOOMING TALENT IN LIMELIGHT
Advertisements are commercials that are designed to get the attention of the consumers and thus, require a lot of creativity, humour and conceptual presentation. Keeping this objective in mind, an Inter-Club Ad Mad Competition was recently organized for grade 4 and 5 students at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. Offering the young talented Presidians space to demonstrate their understanding of the world of advertisement, the platform also enabled them to showcase their creativity and ability to perform. The activity not only acquainted the students about promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements, but also brought out Presidians' skills to amalgamate jingles, dance and skit together to come up with exclusive performances. Witnessing the event and blooming talent of Presidians was truly, a treat to the eyes!
GRADE 8 PRESIDIANS UNRAVEL THEIR GIFTS AT INTRA-CLASS TALENT HUNT
Let’s talk talent!
To provide our grade 8 students the rare opportunity to find, develop and focus on their talents, an Intra-Class Talent Hunt was recently organised at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. We celebrated the fact that everyone possesses talent, which requires just one moment of discovery. It was a great prospect for students to showcase their talents in various domains like beat boxing, folk dance, classical dance, instrumental music and singing. Presidians got ample exposure through this competition, which motivated them to perform and excel, and offered a lot more reward than just the winning prize.
WORLD BRAILLE DAY: PRESIDIANS RAISE AWARENESS FOR ISSUES OF BLIND
Observed every year on 4th January, the World Braille Day celebrates the birth of Louis Braille, the inventor of the reading and writing system used by millions of blind and partially sighted people all over the globe. To celebrate this special day, an equally special assembly was recently conducted by our grade 5 students at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The assembly was initiated with informing the audience that the only thing that is worse than being blind is having sight but no vision. A speech followed, explaining that World Braille Day provides an opportunity for teachers, charities and NGOs to raise awareness about issues facing the blind and the importance of continuing to produce works in Braille to provide the blind with access to equal reading and learning opportunities. The leaders of tomorrow also presented a skit, where they showed the history of World Braille Day and struggles faced by blind children due to lack of teaching and learning materials. Truly, it was an inspiring assembly!
PRESIDIANS USHER IN FESTIVE JUBILATIONS WITH CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL
To satiate the festive fever, a Christmas Carnival was recently organized at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The school’s sprawling ground bore a festive look with Christmas colours strewn all over it and stalls put up by students, parents, teachers and others. The celebration began with the cake cutting ceremony and fun-filled activities like drawing and colouring competitions, tambola and fashion show, where everyone participated enthusiastically. Fashion show, on the spot photography by Hocus Pocus and food & game stalls were the key attractions for the students and their parents. The biggest highlight of the evening was Jam Session, which provided the leaders of tomorrow an opportunity to show off their dancing skills. Overall, it was a boisterous triumph and jubilant way of ushering in the Christmas celebrations.
NURTURING THE AMAZING QUALITIES OF PRESIDIANS ON APPRECIATION DAY
Expressing appreciation for our students contributes to their personal sense of well-being. Presidium believes that each child has extraordinary qualities, which we should nurture. In an attempt to recognize our young students for their unique positive behaviours, an Appreciation Day was recently conducted at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. All the students of grades 1 to 3 were appreciated with certificates for traits like good behaviour, creativity, initiative, curiosity, communication skills, oration and best dancing. Receiving kind words of appreciation from their loving teachers enforced a wonderful strength in our Presidians and the day also motivated them to perform best in their future endeavours.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year to give and forgive in remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s the time when family and friends come together and remember the good things they have. At Presidium Dwarka 16B, this joyous festival was celebrated with a special assembly presented by our young students with lot of warmth, hope and glad tidings. They enthralled the audience with beautiful performances and melodious Christmas carols, which filled the air with festivity. The delight of the students was hard to contain when Santa made a grand entry and showered them with little goodies. Spreading the message of love and good cheer, the leaders of tomorrow added to the charm of this special occasion with their bright smiles!
YOUNG PRESIDIANS SALUTE OUR HARD WORKING FARMERS ON KISAN DIWAS
Celebrating the birth anniversary of our fifth Prime Minister and kisan leader, Late Shri Chaudhary Charan Singh, Kisan Diwas is celebrated every year on 23rd December. To pay a tribute to his magnificent personality and various beneficial policies in the favour of the farmers, which united all the farmers of India against the landlords and moneylenders, a special assembly was recently organized by our nursery students at Presidium, Dwarka 16B. The little Presidians began the assembly by enlightening the audience with new vocabularies such as crops, harvesting and farmers. As the farmers are the backbone of our society and contribute greatly to the economic development of India, a thrilling dance performance on the song 'mere desh ki dharti’ was dedicated to the Indian farmers to amplify their respect in everyone’s mind. The assembly ended with the thought that farmers do not just produce for themselves and their families but also for our country and the world!
INSPIRING ALL TO RISE & ACT ON INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY

Corruption and bribery have now become a serious crime, affecting the social and economic development of all societies. In order to curb it, the United Nations observes International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9. Presidium Dwarka 16B celebrated this special day with a special assembly by students of grade 8 recently. The young Presidians enacted Nukkad Natak to show how we all are responsible for corruption in some way or the other. In order to save ourselves time and trouble, we agree to pay bribe and corrupt officials. Encouraging all to take a stand and be the change that we wish to see in others with a captivating rise and act dance performance, the leaders of tomorrow drove a valuable social message to the youth of today.
OUR BUDDING ASTRONOMERS VISIT SARISKA FOR A JOURNEY TOWARDS STARS
In collaboration with team SPACE, our young grade 6 and 7 Presidians of Dwarka 16B took an educational astronomy journey to Sariska, Rajasthan. The students got the opportunity to inspect the field for mesmerizing live experiences, wherein they observed field irrigation, green house, different types of plants, cultivation, reservoirs, harvesting system and various rocks. It was followed by a cultural programme of beautiful Rajasthani dance and music including Kaalbelia and Ghoomar. An audio visual presentation on astronomy, constellations, telescope, refraction and reflection of light, formation of images, various galaxies and stars was given and an elaborate discussion on our universe was then conducted.
Thereafter, the students were taught to calculate altitudes of various stars and moon. They also observed the moon, its craters, galaxy and other stars using telescope, which was the most enlightening experience. Children visualized how our earth is rotating and our stars are shifting to relish the live experience of what all they read in books. Exploring the nature, laws of nature, beauty of universe and magic of science, the leaders of tomorrow enjoyed this wonderful journey to stars.
