"He who plants a tree, plants a hope!" - Lucy Larcom
To brighten hope for a greener tomorrow, a special assembly on ‘World Nature Conservation Day’ was recently conducted by the students of grade 3 at Presidium Dwarka 16B. Celebrated on 28th July across the world, the World Nature Conservation Day is designed to raise awareness about protecting our precious nature and natural resources. With problems like deforestation and illegal wildlife trade on the rise, nature conservation or protection has become a very important issue for mankind.
The importance of conserving nature was depicted by our talented students through a skit. Elucidating the importance of trees in our lives and also their role in causing rainfall and preventing droughts, the students spoke about various ways to conserve nature, such as saving water, protecting wildlife and following the three Rs of recycling, i.e., ‘reduce’, ‘reuse’ and ‘recycle’. The students enthralled the audience with their impressive performance and were able to successfully deliver the message that only if we all work together and conserve nature, can we live happily on the earth.
