Baisakhi is here!
Thus I am wishing you to have a year full of joy and cheer and a heart that is loving and sheer.
Baisakhi is a historical and religious festival in Sikhism. It is celebrated on April 13th with elation and gusto in the northern states of Punjab and Haryana. Baisakhi marks the Sikh New Year and commemorates the formation of Khalsa Panth of warriors under Guru Gobind Singh JI in 1699.
Farmers are euphoric as the festival marks the time for harvest of Rabi crops.
Class II A and Prep A hosted the assemblies of the festival Baisakhi in their own unique way. They presented an enlivening dance that depicted true colours of Punjab. Children looked vibrant and resplendent in their presentation which had everyone grooving to mellifluous tunes of Punjabi Song.
