The ozone layer, a fragile shield of gas, protects the Earth from the harmful portion of sunrays and ultra-violet rays, thus helping preserve life on the planet. Unfortunately, due to air pollution, which includes production and emission of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), almost 80% of the total ozone layer has depleted. To spread awareness about it, World Ozone Day is celebrated on 16th September all over the world, to observe which, students of grade 2 from Presidium Dwarka 16B recently organized a special assembly. Prompting the young Presidians to start contributing their bit in nurturing and looking after Mother Earth, the assembly stressed on the impact of ozone depletion. The assembly was concluded with a stunning dance performance and was a learning experience for all.
